I liked the first 18 to 20 issues- then it was steadily downhill. I didn't start collecting comics until around the time Giant Size X-Men came out, so I obvioulsy missed the original run. The art between Kirby and Adams is just ok. The writing and plotting leave much to be desired. Again, i didn't read those issues until about a year ago in the essential, so that may be part of why i don't like it. But to tell the truth, I have the Thomas/Adams Masterwork, and i find it just...okay. Maybe it was over hyped to me.

What i never understood was, why did they switch to reprints instead of cancelling the book all together? If it wasn't selling- why did they waste their time with reprints for 2 and a half years?
