The good thing about having a my teams get knocked out of the playoffs early (or not making it to the playoffs at all), is that now I get to concentrate on other matters / sports.

I'm an Illinois guy, born and raised, so my teams are:
- U of I (Dad, brother, sister, and I all went there)
- Cubs (White Sox weren't on TV in central Illinois in the 70s-80s, so it was either the Cubs or the Cards)
- Bears (natch, wish I had known at the time that the 85 Bears would have been the highlight of the past century for the team)
- Bulls (Jordan era only).
- Don't follow hockey, but I like to see the Blackhawks contend.
- Golf-wise, I like to see anyone other than Tiger win. Don't have anything against Tiger, I just feel that he's won enough, and it's good for the sport to have some actual competition. Oh, I'll root for Steve Stricker, as he went to U of I as well.

I'll ALWAYS root against the Yankees (they've won enough), the American League (hate the DH rule), North Carolina BB, Kansas BB, Indiana BB, Michigan, and Notre Dame.

I'm finding myself disliking the Red Sox and Patriots more and more. Nothing against the teams, it's just that they've won enough recently. Oh, and the obvious bandwagon jumper-oners. If you are a fan of those teams from more than 10 years ago, I got nothing against your rooting for them.
