Oh come on. I'm as much of a Marvel Zombie as the next guy but man are there some great DC stuff. Especially in the 80's. New Teen Titans by Wolfman/Perez, Justice League International/Europe by Giffen/DeMatteis, Man of Steel by Byrne, Batman Year One by Miller/Mazzuchelli, Dark Knight Returns by Miller, Watchmen by Moore, Swamp Thing by Moore...

then modern stuff like New Frontier by Darwyn Cook, Superman Birthright by Waid/Yu, All-Star Superman by Morrison/Quitely, All the Batman/Superman/Challengers of the Unknown/Catwoman Loeb/Sale collaborations, Batman Hush by Loeb/Lee, Arkham Asylum by Morrison...

And don't get me started on Vertigo. Y:The Last Man by Vaughan/Guerra, Sandman by Gaiman, Doom Patrol by Morrison, Animal Man by Morrison, Shade by Milligan/Bachalo...

and all this is off the top of my head! This is the tip OF the tip of the iceburg!

I mean, sure, overall, I definitely prefer Marvel. I dunno why, I just am a Marvel Zombie. But you can't write off anything non-Marvel just for the sake of it. Even in the 60's DC had some pretty good stuff. Most not as good as Marvel, sure, but there's a lot worth checking out. Flash and Justice League in particular, IMO. And then in the 70's Kirby showed up with his Fourth World and Demon and Kamandi and Losers and Sandman and OMAC and all that.......

Jeez. There's a lot of great DC, Dark Horse, Image, and other non-Marvel stuff. You can appreciate other companies and still prefer Marvel. Just...broaden your horizons.
