I hated writer Brad Meltzer's one year run on the current Justice League of America series. It seriously lacked any action, and the crossover with the Justice Society of America for "The Lightning Saga" arc was somewhat unclear to me, along with the Legion of Super Heroes being in the present timeline, just to bring back Flash Wally West and family back to the regular DCU earth? I started to like the new writer, Dwayne McDuffie, when he took over from Meltzer. The great art by Ed Benes was the only thing that thrilled me during Meltzer's run.

I expected better from Meltzer after great stories like "The Archer's Quest" in Green Arrow #16-21 and his hit 2004 seven issue miniseries, Identity Crisis. His JLA stint was just lackluster in my opinion, and I feel it wasn't the best relaunch for a new JLA series. My brother was just like me, finding Meltzer's run boring too. One time we talked about this with another person that reads comic books, and he said the same thing to us as well, that he found Meltzer's run on JLA was "no action, and just boring".
