I see ... I guess I was on vacation and out of 'the loop' a few weeks ago when this was first discussed. But the improvement is definitely noticed.

I've been reading FF Masterwork 11 and Spidey Masterwork 10 the past few days. It's like I've hit a time warp and am back in 1971 - I clearly recall buying and reading the original issues as a 9 year old when they were new. I even recall remarking at the time that the new Buscema art in the FF and Thor was much better than the old-fashioned Jack Kirby style. Though I certainly don't agree with that appraisal anymore I think there was a lot of freshness and vitality in the strips as Stan and Big John tried to breathe new life into admittedly old story-lines (Reed stranded in the Neg Zone, the Thing changing back to Ben Grimm, and another Hulk vs. Thing slugfest in New York.)

And next volume we get the return of the Silver Surfer and Galactus ... not to mention Richard Milhouse Nixon.
