I agree with Droid, I don't see why people slam Internet Explorer; in fact, IE7 is the best yet.
Most people slam IE because they hate Microsoft/Bill Gates, not because of any real shortcomings in the browser. Using an alternative browser lets them feel like they're thumbing their collective noses at the establishment. Besides, admitting that you like, Windows/IE is very uncool.

I'm actually a bit stunned by the number of teachers at the high school and college levels that are bashing Microsoft. Because of my computer background, any time one of my friends or their kids have a computer problem, I get a call. And virtually every one of their kids has downloaded and installed Firefox because their teachers insisted that it was far superior to "that piece of crap" Internet Explorer. Before Firefox was in vogue, I heard the same story about Netscape.

The way I feel about it is if you're running a MAC, or a PC with Linux, then using an alternative browser is fine. But the Windows operating system is designed and built around Internet Explorer; it's ingrained at a very low level (low meaning basic). Why would you want to screw with that by layering another browser on top of it? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
