As for Mike Kelleher being uncredited, I think there is a credit listing on the inside pages that list him as doing lineart reconstruction. And hes, that's what he does - heck, what ALL of us do! Whether it's on a light board, or redrawing lines on a pixel by pixel basis....
Well, I think lightboxing the art and redrawing the entire thing is a bit different than retouching/correcting existing film.

In a previous thread, I asked why anyone would trace a page rather than decolor, and Michael agreed that it is no longer necessary to redraw pages due to increases in computing power.

I've never traced a page for Cory, or anything even close.

I don't recall anyone accusing you or tracing!

I agree that lightboxing and retouching are different, but to me, both still involve human hands trying to get something that resembles the original as close as possible.

I see in principle why redrawing offends some people. For me, if you need a list to see which pages have been redrawn, then you probably DON'T need a list to see which pages have been redrawn, as they're nearly indistinguishable from the originals! Next thing we know, we'll need a "May contain traces of peanuts" disclaimer....

I'm also more accepting to redrawing and tracing, as in the colour recon field, we're pretty much tracing colour shapes every day. I'm wondering why this isn't a concern for people, and where we draw that line where human hands' "interference" is accepted and where it is are not.
