I'm going to jump in here as a complete novice as far as art reconstruction is concerned, and say that I don't feel at all cheated by any redrawing in the Masterworks, credited or not, as long as that redrawing is as faithful as possible to the original art. Art is about expression, and, no offense to any of the talented people on this board, if someone is exactly recreating another artist's vision, that recreation is not art, because there's no new artistic expression there. It's a craft or a trade. To use an example from a previous post, if someone has exactly recreated an original Ditko piece, that's still a Ditko piece to me, because it appears on the page exactly as Ditko envisioned it and originally drew it. The recon artist hasn't added any of his own vision or expression; that's hard work, but that's not art, and I don't need a credit in the front of the book for that.

Again, this is all just my opinion, and no offense to any of the talented people on this board, but anyone who is losing sleep over this or spending a lot of time ranting on the internet about it needs to get out of the house a little more often!
