I agree with a lot of your accessments, though I would give Peter David and Frank Miller 5 stars. I would give Wolfman at least 4 stars- I love his Spidey and of course, his best work, Tomb of Dracula.

I'd like to comment on the Doc Ock ressurects Hammerhead story you mentioned. I totaly agree. I too thought this was hokey as a kid, and then completly ridiculous as an adult. It started off ok, but I still dont understand how DO pulled this off- and on top of it, WHY was he horrified when HH came back to the living? He was being haunted and became a bum hiding in darkened alleys trying to escape. He should have been over joyed to see HH alive. I like Len Wein, but is run on Spidey was just so-so for me, and he was the writer when I first started buying Spider-Man
