Well, technically, they're shooting at guys they're about to run over. But notice how carefully Cap has used his shield to block the fire from the two snipers actually shooting at him?

My favorite, and its a common element in Schomberg's covers, is the careful labeling -- in English -- of all the enemy's equipment, in this case "Pillbox #7."

Now the miracle of WWII is how Cap and Bucky survived the war when Cap likes to throw shells right in front of the duo. You'd figure the explosion would be a tad dangerous to our star spangled heroes.

Just remember, while that coward Superman was hiding in Metropolis during the war, Cap and Bucky were in the thick of battle slugging it out with the Nazis, Japs, and Italians. And Bruce "4F" Wayne, that slacker...
