I bought Countdown through issue 31. I tried to like it. I tried to enjoy it. I tried to follow it.

But I couldn't. It bored the devil out of me. I found I couldn't care less about those characters - none of them. They showed no redeeming qualities, as near as I could tell. By issue 31, I was hoping bad things would happen to them.

I dropped the title and followed the spoiler threads, and pretty much realized I wasn't missing a thing. I tried to give it a second chance - I pre-ordered the first volume trade, thinking I might just buy it all in trade. But considering how flat the title has seemed, I seriously wish I could cancel the pre-ordered v.1. I won't be picking up any of it in trade.

I bought the Arena miniseries only to think they should have incorporated it in Countdown. Arena was a waste of money and time on my part. I bought the Search for Ray Palmer issues - ditto. I was very disappointed in Countdown.

And I've just had enough of weekly comics. Trinity might be great, but Countdown sucked so much I'm not even going to give it a try. I'm voting with my wallet. If Trinity is good, I'll pick up the trades, but I'm not going to spend $3 a week on bad comics in the meantime.
