Saying "oh, it's okay where I come from" is no excuse in my book. In Afghanistan only ten years ago, in Iran even today, women were/are stoned for minor things. Are we supposed to accept that because it's usual where they come from? No, I judge things by my local own moral standards, and by them, stoning women for minor offenses is deplorable, and so is insulting normal-shaped women and trying to make our young generation into neurotics and bulimics. One is physical assault, one is psychological, but neither is acceptable in my book, no matter how usual it is where you come from.
Darn right!
