Why not ish 176 in this collection? (reply)
It appears that the "Secret Empire" TPB from 2005 included issue 176, but it's not in this collection. So, what's in that issue? Is it important in wrapping up the story or did it start the next part? Will I miss it if I only get this MMW...

Right! (reply)
That's what I meant to say, that it picks up where issue 12 left off, but a few pages into issue 13, where it flashes back to where 12 left off. I figured we'd figure that out. It all makes sense (more or less, as much as comics ever do)...

Ending of ish 12 (reply)
Yep, that's the way the story ends in my Masterworks book, too. But I think if you continue reading, the story picks up next issue with Dugan and Nick talking it out like the sensible guys they are.

"bigger Flash"? (reply)
Other than meaning Flash needs to be larger to fight a villain who's more than twice as tall as he is, which is just an observation and not really much of a joke, why is this supposed to be funny? Is it a reference to something else?...

Re: FLASH TV Show Discussion (reply)
Song was originally written by Tommy James, had the hit in the '60s with his group, the Shondells, later covered about 1980 by Billy Idol. It all depends on how old you are.

Mony, Mony (reply)
Actually, "Mony, Mony," the song by Tommy James and the Shondells, refers to the insurance company Mutual of New York. James was looking for a name for the girl in the song, something that would fit the rhythm of the song and would sound...

Two Laural/Canary questions! (topic)
I've got a couple things, one I can't remember, one I can't hear: How did Laurel get the "canary cry" powers? Given that "Arrow" is pretty much non-super-powered as a show, was it a tech-based thing? I can't remember and can't find an...

White Martians and Green Martians at war on Earth? (reply)
VisualFiction said, "It seems to me that the White Martians have declared war on the Greens. The Whites are trying to complete their genocide."They may be at war on Mars, but Hank and the White Martian in "Supergirl" were on Earth. The...

Killing surrendering soldiers or prisoners (reply)
Supersteel says, in reference to this, "(and actually, no. the vast majority of military are never put on trial for what you are talking about-unless they lose)."Well, maybe so, but doesn't make it right or moral, just because they get...

Re: CBS to produce Supergirl (reply)
Also, as far as I know in the "Supergirl" universe story, no governmental body on Earth has declared war on any nation or state where the White Martians reside. This was one Martian who on our land was a criminal (kidnapping, attacking...

Re: Captain America: Secret Empire (reprint)? (reply)
Looks like there's an alternative. What about the British book offered in the URL provided by themouseholdcat? Is that a TPB? Is it the whole story? What is the Marvel Graphic Novel Collection? Printed on good paper or newsprint? Thanks....

Re: Captain America: Secret Empire (reprint)? (reply)
Yikes! I was hoping for a TPB that I might find at less cover price. I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to be able to afford a MMW unless something changes drastically before April (which would be a nice surprise). But thanks for the...

Captain America: Secret Empire (reprint)? (topic)
Just saw the Cap 75th Anniversary TV show. Was the Secret Empire storyline (featuring Nixon?) ever reprinted other than the "Secret Empire" TPB which seems pretty outta print/unavailable nowadays, unless I get lucky? Is there any other...

What about MM's mindwipe? (reply)
What about Martian Manhunter's mindwipe of that security guard? Was anyone else horrified by the scope of that? I thought he was just going to make the guy forget he saw Hank, but the we saw the guy later and he remembered nothing of his...

Re: Question: New Suicide Squad/Vic Sage (reply)
So, then, who is this new Vic Sage, then, since he doesn't seem to be the lone-wolf guy of the Ditko stories or the guy who changed or grew into a mystical/Zen guy in the O'Neil stories? What's his background? Is he, or has he ever been,...

Question: New Suicide Squad/Vic Sage (topic)
I got "The New Suicide Squad, Vol. 1" from the local library, and I'm confused about the Victor Sage character. Is this supposed to be the Question? The character seems very, very, very different from any iteration I'm familiar with. He...

Anarky character (reply)
The Anarky character I remember from the comics had a political agenda (as did, supposedly, the punk rockers who popularized, back in the '80s, the use of the symbol we saw). You might not agree with the agenda or his methods of trying...
