Re: DC Comics Post-CONVERGENCE - 24 New Titles (reply)
Depending on the line up, I will give Hitch's JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA a shot; the same holds true for Johns's JUSTICE LEAGUE. I might stick with AQUAMAN too, but it depends on how much Trevor McCarthy has grown as an artist since I...

Re: What are you reading?  (reply)
#34 was indeed great. It might be the best issue of the entire series. I have no explanation as to how I forgot about it. Seriously though, 8 of 11 issues (I have the old TPB) in this volume were just painful to read. No joke Riftt.

CLASSIC G.I. JOE Vol. 4 TPB - Except for the last two issues this was not very good. The stories reprinted here suffered from poor plots and clumsy execution. The term "classic" is a real misnomer.

UNCANNY AVENGERS: AXIS PRELUDE HC - Another entertaining read from Rick Remender. The only issue that I found week was the annual; the rest of his run is nothing short of spectacular. Remender's run will definitely rank as one of the...

Re: Secret Wars: Marvel's New Universe? (reply)
I understand why people are upset by this news and I appreciate the passion; it shows that they really care about Marvel. That said, those of you who are complaining that have not read and/or bought a Marvel comic in 10, 15, 20, 25, or...

The great Avengers re-read project continues...Just finished Stan Lee's Avengers run. In retrospect, I would call it a solid run with some moments of greatness. It was fun watching Stan lay the foundation for what made the Avengers...

I am looking forward to Ant-Man. The trailer looked awesome!  I say this as someone who never gave the character of Scott Lang much thought. I am certain the film will make Disney a ton of money. It's too bad Warner Bros didn't get...

'TEC #38 - It's Anarky, so it has to be good right? Or can Anarky only be written well by Alan Grant? Ant-Man #1 (shrinking variant) - I love a good variant cover. What a unique concept with a print to order varying image of Ant-Man. I...

Pink's is just ok; to me it is like Randy's donuts, you go there once or twice because it is a L.A. landmark not because the food is great (it's not). The only good hot dog in L.A. is a Dodger Dog.
