Re: Good comic book stores in Los Angeles (reply)
Geoffrey's is an awesome comic book store! Bought many back issues there back in the day. There used to be a cool store in Eaglerock called Another World. It was a hole in the wall, but the owners were cool. They sold it some years back....

Golden Apple is a pale shadow of the great comic book store that it once was. The only reason to go there is if you want to walk a couple of blocks over to get a hot dog at Pink's after buying a new release comic book. Seriously, don't...

House of Secrets in Burbank is small but their back issue and trade sections are good. If you head south to the OC there are great stores. Comic Toons & Toys, Comics Unlimited and JnJ Comics are all good.

Re: Geoff Johns Green Lantern Omnibus (reply)
Sammy is right on the money. What made it even worse at the time was how Ron Marz, Kevin Dooley and Bob Schreck were dismissive of Hal fans from comments like Hal doesn't sell to telling Hal fans to go to hell (yes, Schreck was a first...

Re: West Coast Avengers Buying Advice (reply)
Drew,I liked the idea of the Torch being brought back. It always seemed like such a waste and weird to have the Vision being created out of the Torch. Why have one character at the expense of the other? Busiek's retcon of the retcon...

But wait, there's more...Why did you decide to bring back the Original Human Torch?JB: The most obvious answer to this question, of course, is "Why not?"I "met" the original Torch in the FF ANNUAL Stan and Jack used to bring him back...

Hey intp, I don't want to ruin your flow, so if this post is out of place, I'll move it. I figured since people are now all over the Avengers map in terms of eras that are being commented upon, it is ok to post out of order. The great...

I would buy a Simonson Thor Omnibus if it has the original coloring... I'm not of fan of re-coloring the classics.

Star Wars: Dark Empire (topic)
It just dawned on me that Star Wars: Dark Empire came out 25 years ago. It would be cool to see Marvel repackage it as an oversized hard cover.

I would like to retract calling Batman V Superman the worst comic book movie of all time (that I have seen). The other day, I saw on HBO the most recent FF movie and it is worse; not by much mind you, but still worse.
