IRON MAN #258.2 - Classic creative team with a classic character!UNCANNY AVENGERS #8 - I'm enjoying this series. By the way, is it just me or does the ink on the covers smudge easily when you hold the comic?

UNCANNY AVENGERS #1-7 - Avengers and X-Men on one team; conceptually, it doesn't work for me, but with A-List villains, like the Red Skull and Kang, I am interested in continuing with the series...for now.

Re: What's the Worst Run You've Ever Read, and why Did You Keep Reading It?  (reply)
Before I went with "current" worst runs, but in terms of the "all-time" worst run it has to be "The Crossing" storyline that ran through the various Avengers titles. It had an incoherent plot and horrible characterization. As I always...

There have been several runs like this for me over the years. Currently, FLASH and AGE OF ULTRON are just painful. FLASH has terrific art, but the writing is like pulling teeth. I'll stick it out through the "Reverse-Flash" arc, but...

Man of Steel - post reboot  (topic)
So back when John Byrne rebooted Superman, how interconnected where the various Superman titles? Could you read just Byrne's SUPERMAN #1-22 alone or did the stories flow in and out of titles like ACTION, ADVENTURES, etc?

Mine was AVENGERS Vol. 1 #4. Sure I had several reprints of the issue, but it's not the same as owning and holding an actual key silver age issue that changed the face of Marvel. So a few years ago, I was faced with paying an...

Just finished the first Avengers Masterwork reprinting AVENGERS #1-10. This is my third overall re-read of the material and it still holds up. I also read FF#25-26, which featured the Avengers; I am kind of surprised that Stan kept...

This was a pretty good series; it had a lot of heart and the characters were spunky. Translation: I made an impulse buy.

FANTASTIC FOUR Omnibus by Mark Waid. At 36 issues, this would be a nice size Omnibus.

Q&W was one of my favorite comics. It was lightning in a bottle captured by Priest and Bright. I can't see any other creative team writing these characters, so I am going to pass.

X-MEN: FROM THE ASHES - This was pretty good! That said, the whole Madelyne Pryor / Scott Summers romance was just plain creepy.
