Re: Star Wars Omnibus (reply)
The Al Williamson art is spectacular, and is limited to the 6 part Empire adaptation. Chaykin's work here is pretty lackluster. The only thing I like less by him is his brief Micronauts run. Infantino is well into his ultra-angular...

Re: Dan Slott destroyed Spider-Man (reply)
No, he absolutely didn't. The 90+ issues he's was done have generally been the best the book has been since the 80s.

Re: Hulk (1962) #1 - reprints with Hulk recolored green? (reply)
The first Hulk Pocket Book that reprints 1-6 goes with green in issue 1 as well. Of course, that's barely more modern than Origins and has funky formatting to fit the mass-market format.

Fascinating article! I had not heard of Hubbell before. I loved seeing a reason for some of the more off-model panels from the 60s era.

If 2015 were all Bronze Age volumes, I could go broke. I'd have to make some serious chooses, at the least. Luke Cage 1 Moon Knight 1 She-Hulk 1 Peter Parker 1 Star Wars 1 Spider Woman 1 Ghost Rider 1 Werewolf By Night 1 NBE 1...

Re: One Man's Trash... (reply)
Over the last couple of years most of my back issue purchasing came from the Austin Books Sidekick Store Annex. Almost every comic there is $1. My favorite runs from there were Micronauts 2-25, and the bulk of the first Moon Knight...

As an "I love Omnibus" person. I honestly had never considered the probability of the Hulk! magazine being reprinted in any format beyond the Essentials. Now that it has come up, it makes the most sense to do it in that format. Possibly...

I'm taking another look at the Women of Marvel Omnibus. Working on the She-Hulk section, and am considering the large block of Gerber issues next. In back issues, I'm reading Spider-Woman, just the first two appearances. I found these...
