The PPTSSM period I'm mostly interested in is #60-100. I wouldn't mind at all an Omnibus that connects with the Stern Omnibus -- #62-up, for however many issues it might be able to hold.
For early issues I'm fine with MMWs mining that period for now.
No real interest in WOSM.
I would also pick up a combination of the two Alien Costume Saga TPBs for a comprehensive 1984-85 Spider-Man experience.
That would make for two must-buy Spider-Man OHCs for me.
SPIDER-MAN BY BILL MANTLO
Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #62-89
Marvel Team-Up Annual 6
Total 29 issues
SPIDER-MAN, THE ALIEN COSTUME SAGA
Amazing Spider-Man #252-263 and Annual 18
Spectacular Spider-Man #90-100, Annual 4
Marvel Team-Up #141-150, Annual 7
Web of Spider-Man #1
Total 36 issues
Make that three:
MARVEL TEAM-UP BY CHRIS CLAREMONT
Marvel Team-Up #57-89, 100, Annual 1-2, minus licensing problems (SNL, Sonja?)
Total 36 issues
(Yes, I know that would include a few non-Claremont issues, but that's a small sacrifice for having an uninterrupted 33-issue run.)

I feel like the obvious choices for Spectacular are
Spectacular Spider-Man by Peter David (105-123, 128-129, 134-136 and Annual 5-6)
Spectacular Spider-Man by Gerry Conway (1-3, 137-174 and Annual 8-11)
Spectacular Spider-Man by J.M. DeMatties Vol 1(131-132, 178-200 and Annual 13-14)
And for Web, since it changed authors so many times, I'd like to see Volume 1 (1-30 and Annual 1-3. Contains the first appearance of Eddie Brock)
Then continue Vol 2 after the two consecutive crossovers (34-70 + Annual 4-6)
End the numbered volumes with Vol 3 (71-100 + Annual 7-9)
There is no need for a Web Vol 4 since that crosses over with Maximum Carnage which would theoretically be mapped to a Michilinie/Bagley Omnibus and then crosses over with Infinity Crusade which would be it's own Omnibus before crossing over with Pursuit (again, Michilinie/Bagley OHC) and then ends with the Clonse Saga before we can get enough issues for a fourth Volume.

I really wish Marvel would have a rapid release calendar (1 omni per quarter). At the current, we'll need to wait for 25+ years to get all that haha
