Posts: 36 Jul 18 12 6:43 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Wow. Received my latest batch today. It took one month, which is the fastest turnaround I have seen. I was expecting August. Had the complete run of ROM Spaceknight done in three volumes with silver buckram and red ROM die stamp on the spine. Pretty similar to the ones already posted that MIVLives did. They look great. Posts: 693 Jul 20 12 10:02 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I selected a few titles to send to H&R and they did a splendid job (though I have not spent a great deal of time being anal about inspecting them... yet). This volume came out great. Low grade copies that no longer look it after binding. I had to use the silver reprint for Iron Fist 14. I wasn't willing to spend $40+ dollars for an ultra low grade copy when I could spend $5 for something much nicer. The title/index page is from a John Byrne piece I found online. Likely I will stick this on eBay and see if I can get something decent for it. If not, it will look terrific on my shelf. R.O.M. is certainly a popular series to bind. Obviously because it has not been reprinted. And this came out real nice. Superb binding quality. TEAM AMERICA! Never reprinted, at least I don't think it has. Includes the Captain America debut. I am currently on a business trip in Seattle and have to fly home to DC shortly. My wife told me that two boxes arrived from H&R in my absence. I am excited to see my family of course, but man I can't wait to open those boxes! This is going to be such a long flight...

And with all these books getting sent out by H&R, I'm now salivating at the thought of mine arriving soon, as well. Do they normally email you when they've been sent out or did you just arrive home to a happy surprise?

I had two orders totaling 14 volumes that Georgia warned me might take several weeks longer, and it looks like they got them all back in 5 weeks!

I'm in the same boat, man. H&R received my first three books (Robotech 1 & 2, and D&D) in May, and the estimated time is by the end of this month. I'm also dying for them to be done and hold them in my hands! But mine were hand-sewn, so it's only to be expected that they take eternity.

There are a few things I would definitely do differently in the future, but for now, I could not be more pleased. I had thought 20 comics would be about the max size for what I was comfortable with, but I actually much prefer the size of the 26 issue Batman and Robin Must Die volume I had sent in and will try to match those in the future. I also wish I listed artist names on the spine for all except the Grant Morrison one (waaaaaay too many artists), but will be doing on the next set that I send in. First up, Batman and Robin Will Never Die, with blue stamping on golden buckram. I was hoping the gold would be more yellow, but I still think it came out looking pretty sharp. Then Scott Snyder's Detective run and Gates of Gotham. These were done with black arrestox and silver stamping: And Gail Simone's Secret Six 1-36 with the associated crossover issues done on gray arrestox with red stamping. I think they look really great, though I do wish the red popped a little more. I was very nervous my first time going in, but H&R absolutely killed it with these volumes and I actually found very minimal gutter loss, definitely no more than the six issues trades I've purchased.

It's just it seems like H&R are expedited the basic binds, and taking a longer time on half-binds, art-on-covers, etc. People getting their books early got my hopes up! Oh well... sorry, end-rant.
