Posts: 1226 (07/03/09 1:30 PM) Registered Member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	Tags : None We all have our favorite classic villains from SA, BA and MA (Red Skull, Magento, Zemo, Doom, Zola, the Brood, etc), but who are some of the current villains you folks like. One of my now, all time favorite villains is the Hood (Parker Robbins). From such humble beginnings in Brooklyn this guy made a criminal empire powerful enough to take on the Avengers and be noticed by Osborn (although, I won't comment on his last appearance in NA 53). Anyhow, Bendis has really worked some magic with this bad ass. Who do you folks like?

Posts: 21 (07/03/09 2:06 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	Right now, the Hood, Mister Negative and Ma Gnucci come to mind. I totally agree with you about the Hood. Besides, the kid takes care of his mom... that is another aspect that adds charisma to the character. So far, I have only read the first 3 Brand New Day MPEs. But Mister Negative surprised me as a villain. Surrounded by mystery... great strategist... He reminds me of classic Spidey Villains such as the Kingpin or Silvermane. I think he may become one of the greatest Spidey villains, if handled properly. And about Ma Gnucci... she's so deliciously evil and vicious... the perfect villain for the Punisher. I haven't yet read the Return of MG miniseries, though.

Runners Up: those two Masked Wrestler brothers from the last Moon Knight arc (not really villains I guess, but close enough) The Irredeemable Ant-Man The Hood The Marvel Zombies Children of the Vault (I think that's what they're called; the dudes from the Carey/Bachalo X-Men) Least Favorite: Danger (Technically first appeared in X-Men 1, but I don't really count it) Emperor Vulcan (Sorry, not a fan, even though I really enjoyed Rise and Fall of the Shi'Ar Empire) I'm sure I'll think of more soon Last Edited By: comix750 07/03/09 4:44 PM. Posts: 517 (07/03/09 10:54 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	I wouldn't say he IS one of the best villains of the 2000s, but I think The Void could really be a great villain if Marvel would get their act together and figure out the Sentry's actual story, powers, personality issues, and relationship with the Void. I'm unclear on whether this was planned all along by Paul Jenkins and just hasn't been revealed yet, or if Marvel just has no clue what to do with this character, but it sure seems like the latter. Anyway, I thought the first Sentry mini was great, the second was very good, and the latest was interesting and more than a little confusing. Based on the first two minis (mostly the first), I think the Void has a lot of potential!
