While I see nothing too terrible about the concept of books reproduced from scanned comics pages, I think Fletcher Hanks's work actually lends itself to being reprinted this way, more than most.

The artwork is crude by its very nature, so in a sense it's only fitting. Moreover, it's a relatively cheap book.

Actually the close up does have an appeal to those of us devoted to 19th Century French Impressionism.
