I'm looking at The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh as my next binding project, my first in more than 20 years.
I have all 3 Gold Key issues. I do not have, nor do I feel I need, the reprint of the first issue.
I also have a nice text piece on the character from one of the Hammer magazines.
There's also a Gold Key Twilight Zone story about Captain Clegg, the original identity of the Scarecrow in the books on which the character's based. Easy enough to find.

This is going to be a work in progress and I'll try to add more each evening.

First, a word of caution. Ive been using Photoshop 5.5, a significantly older version of Photoshop than Photoshop CS. So the steps and features being described will not exactly match the newer version. The good news is everything Ive done is probably available to Photoshop CS users. I had some frustration trying to use Samys cover tutorial because Photoshop CS has features Photoshop 5.5 does not have....

Mapping Alpha Flight

One of my (too many) binding projects for this year is a complete Alpha Flight, collecting the first series and significant appearances throughout.

I thought I would share with you the first attempt at mapping out Volume 1, which will include James Hudson/Vindicator's first appearance, through his death in issue 12 of the regular series.

Here's how I have it mapped. Please let me know if I am missing any appearances that aren't merely cameo appearances.

I was getting ready to put together an Annihilation binding project when I heard that there would be a follow-up "Conquest" starting this Summer, and running into early 2008. So I've put that on hold for now until next year, since I'd like to having all the Annihilation issues done together.

Anyway, regarding the first series, the series supposedly starts with Drax #1 - #4, but I think it should start with Thanos #7. I tried mapping out the series evenly in 3 volumes, but...

I really enjoyed the late eighties Punisher, with Steven Grant, Mike Baron, Carl Potts and others writing, and Mike Zeck, Jim Lee and Whilce Portacio illustrating.

I'm toying around with the idea of a two-volume set of Claremont's Fantastic Four (plus all the relevant extra stuff from that period).

These are the items I have discovered to fall into the bracket. My criterion were: 616 Fantastic Four tales between Heroes Return and Pacheco's run.

Just delivered today. This was a pain to put together. Still need to complete 1 - 24, probably with reprints. I guess I'll end this at 190 when Buscema left. If anyone can give me their opinion of issues past 190, please let me know.
